Benefits of 7 Inch Skateboard Complete

Better Coordination

Enhancing coordination is one of skateboarding's most beneficial advantages. To be successful in any activity, you need to be able to coordinate your hands and legs well. Skateboarding helps with this, as well as decision-making abilities that are useful in other aspects of life – you need to think fast when you're skateboarding and have to avoid an accident, for example.

Improves Balance

Another significant benefit that skateboarders gain is a strong feeling of balance. Balance is essential to the art of skating, but not everyone is born with it. As a result, skateboarders practice until they get it right. Regular practice gradually improves balance as the core muscles get stronger from the numerous postures and workouts that they would not ordinarily get from daily activity.

Increases Metabolism

For a healthy metabolism, the body needs a regular workout, and arduous (but fun) sports like skateboarding are perhaps the best training it can receive. It is undoubtedly a novel kind of workout that targets a wide range of muscles. A skateboarder, in addition to the ordinary use of hands and legs, exhibits diverse postures with each trick or stunt, therefore working multiple muscles of the body.

Creative Freedom

Skateboarding, in contrast to other sports, is an individual game that gives the participant complete freedom to do what they want. Although there are team sports that place more weight on individual performances, they cannot be compared to skateboarding or other adventure sports that place more importance on individual performance. There are no teams in skateboarding; each skater is solely accountable for their own success. They must depend only on their own abilities to succeed, and this approach will undoubtedly aid skateboarders in developing more self-confidence.

Types of 7 Inch Skateboard Complete

Longboard
Classic longboards are very popular on the street today. Named for their long length (typically 33 inches or more), longboards offer increased stability and maneuverability over smaller skateboards, making them one of the best skateboards for beginners.Their large, soft wheels, wide trucks, and long decks provide a smoother riding experience on rough, uneven surfaces.Longboards are also the fastest form of skateboard, ideal for bombing big hills, sliding, and making wide, sweeping turns.

Pintail
Pintail boards are named for their distinctive "pintail" shape, tapered at the front and back (more aggressively tapered at the back). This board shape helps prevent wheelbite, which occurs when you carve too hard and your deck makes contact with your wheels. Wheelbite can be extremely dangerous, and it can even completely throw you off your board at any speed.

Twin Tip
Twin tip longboards feature pinched noses and tails, each almost symmetrical. This tapered design eliminates the possibility of wheelbite, and is great for deep carves and fast downhill rides, but features less board space. The twin tip frame also allows for a "drop through" deck, where the deck dips down in the center, sitting slightly lower than the trucks.

Cruiser Longboards
Unlike pintail and twin tip longboards, cruiser longboards feature a full deck, more akin to that found on a traditional street skateboard.Cruiser longboards like Zed 44" Longboard are great for beginner longboarders since they offer maximum deck space for your feet. The trucks on cruisers are higher and the wheels are also larger and softer than a standard board. In general, you'll also find the bushings more flexible.

4 Uses for 7 Inch Skateboard Complete

Skateboard Swing
If your kids are too young to enjoy a day out at the skate park, or gliding down the road on their personalized board, then maybe a DIY skateboard swing is just the thing. All you need is an old skateboard, some rope and somewhere to hang it. Not only will your kids have fun swinging back and forth on their homemade toy, but they will be building core strength and balance while they're having fun

Skateboard Exercises

If your days of skateboarding are behind you, but you still want the exercise, then try some of these skateboarding exercises that will strengthen your core and give your old board some new life.

Skateboard Shelves

While skateboards can be useful on the ground or in the air, they can also be used for decorating that hard-to-please teenage boy's room. With just some simple brackets, you can turn used boards into some teen-approved shelving your kids will be happy to show off to their friends. They're so easy to make that your teen could even help construct their skateboard décor.

Skateboard Sling

If your teen would rather carry their board around with them, then why not create a sling that allows them to cart their favorite accessory around and go hands-free. This DIY skateboard sling is simple to make and might even be cool enough to get you a "thanks, mom."

7 Inch Skateboard Complete Components

Deck
A deck is a board upon which a skateboarder stands. Skateboard decks are typically made of seven or nine layers of birch or maple wood that are laminated together and shaped. The common board shapes are longboards, cruisers, shortboards, and old school boards-each board type is used for different kinds of skating.

Grip tape
Skateboard grip tape is the adhesive-backed sandpaper affixed to the top of the board to provide traction. Grip tape helps keep your skate shoes from sliding around your deck, giving you enough traction to keep your feet on the board.

Trucks
Skateboard trucks are the front and rear axle assemblies that connect the wheels to the deck and allow the board to turn.

Wheels
Skateboard wheels are what your board rolls on. They are typically made of polyurethane and measured by their size and hardness. The wheels you pick will impact the way your board accelerates, turns, and rides.

Bearings
Skateboard bearings are round metal discs that fit inside the wheels, mounting them to the axle. The inner and outer parts of the discs ride on interior balls, allowing wheels to turn.

Hardware
Skateboard hardware includes the nuts, bolts, and screws that hold trucks onto the board. The hanger holds the axle nuts, which keep the wheels affixed to your skateboard. Bushings allow your trucks to turn, with harder bushings offering stiffer movement, and softer bushings more sensitive to pressure.

Risers
Skateboard risers are hard plastic pads inserted between the trucks and deck to raise the overall height of the skateboard and avoid wheel bite. Riser pads come in different sizes and are necessary with larger wheels to create enough clearance.

Shock pads
Shock pads are rectangle-shaped washers that go between the deck and the trucks of your skateboard. Shock pads are similar to risers, except this hardware is more malleable and rubbery, which is better at absorbing shock.

How to Choose 7 Inch Skateboard Complete

Quality Assurance

The first factor to consider when choosing a skateboard factory is quality assurance. While there are many factories in China that produce skateboards, not all of them offer the same level of quality assurance. A reliable factory will have a quality control system in place to ensure that all products meet international standards of quality. For a 7-inch skateboard complete, it is crucial to ensure that the board's deck, wheels, bearings, and trucks are of the highest quality.

Manufacturing Capacity

The manufacturing capacity of the factory is another critical factor to consider. It is vital to choose a factory that can handle the production volume needed for your business. A factory with limited capacity may not be able to produce the required quantities of skateboards within the required timeframe. Ensure that the selected factory has enough equipment and workforce to handle your order.

Customization Options

A reliable skateboard factory should offer customization options to meet your specific needs. Whether you need custom designs, graphics, or colors, the factory should be able to deliver. This will help you stand out in the competitive skateboard market and appeal to your target audience.

Product Pricing

The pricing of the skateboard complete is a critical consideration when choosing a factory. While the cost should never be the only consideration, it is essential to work within your budget. It is recommended that you compare the prices of several factories to determine which one offers the most competitive pricing without compromising on product quality.

Lead Time

Another critical factor to consider is the lead time. The time it will take the factory to produce and deliver your order. A reliable skateboard factory should be able to provide an accurate estimate of the lead time based on the order quantity, customization, and other factors. Choose a factory that can meet your deadlines and provide fast and reliable shipping.

How To Install A Skateboard

Attach Grip Tape To Deck

Place your deck on a flat surface so the nose and tail ends are facing up and the graphic on the bottom of the deck is facing down.Peel off the grip tape backing and place the grip tape on the deck. Press down so it lays flat.Run a screwdriver or file along the edges of the board to trace an outline of the deck. This will serve as a guide when you're ready to cut.Hold a razor at 45 degrees, make a small incision, and trim the excess grip tape, following the outline of the deck.Sand down the edges of the grip tape to smooth any rough or lifted portions that could peel up.

Mount Trucks To Deck

Locate the mounting holes, then use the bolts or a screwdriver to punch holes downward through the grip tape. Place bolts through the holes in the deck. If you're installing risers, start by fitting those onto the bolts. If not, slip the baseplate onto the bolts.Hold the hardware in place while you attach one truck at a time. Make sure your two trucks are facing each other-IE, both kingpins are facing in.Fasten the nuts over the trucks using your skate tool or socket wrench. Use a skate tool to tighten the heads of the bolts in an "X" pattern. Repeat on the other side.

Install Wheel Bearings And Attach Wheels To Trucks

Remove axle nuts and speed washers. Place bearing on the axle and press the wheel over the bearing until you feel the bearing slide into the center of the wheel. Then insert the bearing spacer inside the wheel from the opposite side. If you hear a popping sound when you press the wheel onto the bearing it means the bearing is fully in. Do this for all four wheels.Place one speed washer on the axle of the skateboard truck. If you're using a spacer, put it on the axle next. If not, install the wheel onto the axle, followed by the second washer. With your skate tool or wrench, fasten the nut until there is no play-the wheel should be able to spin freely. Make sure your wheel is level-if it lays at an angle, it means your bearings aren't fully in.

Test Your Skateboard

Check to make sure grip tape and screws are even. The heads of your screws should be flush with the grip tape. If they aren't flush, give them a few more turns, but don't crack the deck.Make sure your trucks are firmly secured to your deck. The baseplate shouldn't move at all.Stand on your board and rock back and forth. Test the tightness of the trucks and make sure the wheels can spin freely. If you can't turn or carve, turn the nut of your kingpin counterclockwise. If you can't coast for very long or feel resistance when pushing, loosen your wheels.

How to Maintain 7 Inch Skateboard Complete

Adjusting the Trucks
The tightness of the Trucks (the metal "axle" assembly) controls how easy or hard it is for the skateboard to turn. An absolute beginner may benefit from tighter trucks as it is one less variable (turning!) to deal with. However, soon enough they will be ready to start controlling the board and loosening the trucks may make things easier, especially for smaller skaters.

Grip Tape Bubbles
Whenever we grip a board, we look for pockets of air between the grip and the board. We "pop" the bubble with the corner of a razor blade (or a pin) and then push the air out through that hole. If you have a newly gripped board with a bubble you can just do the same. The more a board is skated, the more connected the grip and board will become.

Adjusting the Axle Nuts
Wheels are attached to the axels with a single nut (1/2") per wheel. The nuts should be tightened as far as they can be without impeding the spin of the wheel. Generally you should feel only a very minor amount of play if you try to move the wheel side to side. Occasionally a nut might work itself tighter or looser than originally set and should just be corrected.

Adjusting the Truck Mounting bolts
Each truck is intended to be securely attached to the skateboard deck by a set of 4 bolts and 4 nuts (3/8"). We use philips head bolts on our SkateXS completes, some folks use an allen head. In general just keep an eye on this. The nuts have a nylon locking feature, but theoretically they could loosen over time. If they do, just tighten them back up. No need to over tighten, you'd want to avoid over embedding the bolt deeply into the board.

Cleaning Bearings
Cleaning is a bit of a process, so if the wheels are spinning ok, its probably not worth it. However, if you've got a wheel that really isn't spinning freely, its time for a cleaning. You can choose to do all your bearings at once, or if you've just got one wheel acting up, you can focus on the two bearings in that wheel. First remove the axle nut and the wheel. Set aside the nut and the two small washers that are on either side of the wheel. Without damaging the bearings, you''ll want to pry them out of the wheels.

Grip Tape Cleaning & Replacement
Grip can also get dirty over time. Your local skateshop will carry an eraser that might help remove a stubborn mark. If you really need to clean a spot, consider a moist toothbrush (kids, this is not your toothbrush, and definitely not your sister or brother's toothbrush!). Use that to loosen the stain, then dab with a dry towel. You don't want to rub a towel or paper towel against the grip, as it will make a mess. You also don't want to get the board itself or the the metal bolts wet.

FAQ

Q: How much is a really good skateboard?

A: Buying a complete skateboard is an equally great option. The price range depends on the brands available at your local shop. Q: What age is appropriate for a skateboard?

A: Ages 3-5: Consider a mini-cruiser with a deck length of 22-27 inches. These offer a compact and nimble ride for little kids. Penny boards and plastic composite boards are also suitable starter options. Ages 5-8: Pick a wider standard deck from 28-32 inches long.

Q: What is it called when you flip your skateboard?

A: Kick flip: when it flips around. "You have to flick it and flick" "When the board does a side flip under your feet" Moving kickflip: skating and flip it upside down. Heelflip: when it is done like kickflip but with heel. The best position to keep your balance is looking to the front with your shoulders lined as the board. You should never look to the floor!

Q: What is beginner skateboarding?

A: A beginner should start by choosing the right skateboard, wearing protective gear, and finding a safe location to practice. Focus on learning basic skills such as pushing off, balancing, turning, and stopping before attempting tricks. Watching instructional videos or taking lessons can also be helpful.

Q: What's the best skateboard size for beginners?

A: To start with, we recommend a deck width of 7.75" or 8.0". Most full-sized complete skateboards will come in either 7.75" or 8.0" widths, this is the right size to start with, as your experience grows you'll know if you need a wider board later on.Actually Really Good Beginner Skateboards - These are going to be great skateboards ranging in the $100 - $180 range. They will come with high quality components and be a professional level setup.

Q: How do I choose a good skateboard for beginners?

A: Softer wheels roll faster on rough ground and offer better stability making them a good choice for most beginners. Hard wheels are faster on smooth surfaces and are usually the best option if you are spending lots of time at the skatepark. Hard wheels also make it easier to slide in and out of certain tricks.

Q: How to tell if a skateboard is good?

A: When looking for a skateboard, focus on finding one that has well-made wheels and trucks that can easily turn. Skateboards that fall between the $50 to $100 range are often good options for beginners. You will feel a big difference in your riding experience with a quality board compared to a cheap one.

Q: Can I learn skateboarding on my own?

A: If you choose to practice skateboarding alone, you'll still need to find a suitable place to go skateboarding. Generally, we'd still advise going to a skatepark as they're obviously designed for skateboarding. Even if you go on your own, you'll likely meet other skateboarders.

Q: How long does it take to learn basic skateboarding?

A: Short answer, if you just wanna learn how to push and ride, it will take you a couple of weeks. If you wanna learn the basics of a particular type of skating, a couple of months. You must be confident. You must stay focused. And you must have fun. Skateboarding is something people of all ages, and all walks of life can enjoy.

Q: Is it OK for a girl to skateboard?

A: Skateboarding is an action sport that can give girls a taste of adventure and a venue for experiencing a thrill, but in a safe and productive way. Skateboarding is a sport without rules. There are no limits on what a skateboarder can do; new tricks are constantly being created.

Q: Should I get a 7.5 skateboard?

A: 7.00" to 7.50": Narrow decks ideal for youth riders. 7.50" to 8.00": Medium deck width for teen or adult riders skating street terrain or doing more technical tricks. 8.00" to 8.50": Ideal for various street and transition terrain. Parks, pools, rails, stairs.

Q: What is a penny board good for?

A: Penny Boards are good for riding in crowded areas on flat ground (hills can be dangerous) and are small enough to fit in your backpack, which can be useful. The small size can cause major problems and is a huge disadvantage for most riders, most of the time.

Q: Is it easier to learn to skateboard or longboard?

A: The reason we recommend longboarding for beginners is that it's easier to master than skateboarding. Skateboarding is chalk full of difficult technicalities that require time and patience to learn.

Q: How to pick a skateboard?

A: When choosing a board, consider your shoe size and how it correlates with the width of the deck. If you wear men's size 6.5 to 9, start out with a deck width of 7.5 to 8.0 inches. If you wear shoes 9.5 or larger, we recommend getting a deck between 8.0 and 8.5 inches.

Q: What skateboard to buy for a beginner adult?

A: As a beginner, choosing an off-the-shelf pre-built complete, either a street deck or a cruiser, is the easiest way to get started. The following is a short list of the various types of pre-built complete setups available: Street decks are the classic popsicle shaped skateboards you see people using to do tricks.

Q: How many inches should a beginner skateboard be?

A: (Micro) 6.5" to 6.75": Best for kids 5 and under. (Mini/Small) 7.00" to 7.50": Narrow decks are better for youths 8 to 12 years old. (Mid Size) 7.50" to 8.00": A medium deck width is best for teens age 13 and older or adult riders who street skate or skate on street terrain.

Q: What type of skateboard is best to learn on?

A: Park and street skateboards are built to be versatile for many styles of riding, including street (flip tricks, manuals, rails, ledges, etc.) and transition (ramps, quarter pipes, bowls, pools, etc.). If you're learning to ride at a skatepark, this is the type of skateboard we recommend.

Q: Should a skateboard be light or heavy?

A: A lighter board makes sense, however, new skaters won't have built up the muscles which will allow them to perform the moves on any board yet. Think of lifting weights in a gym. Starting off with light weights is a good idea to begin with but you'll quickly outgrow those and you'll need to move on to heavier ones.

Q: How do you know if you're goofy or regular skateboard?

A: If you're right footed that foot stays on the floor and your left foot goes on the board, covering the bolts. This is called regular stance. If you're left footed that goes on the floor, and your right foot goes on the skateboard, again covering the bolts. This is called goofy stance.
