What is Kids Complete Skateboard

Kids Complete Skateboard is a skateboard set designed for children. It contains all the basic components needed for skateboarding and can be used directly without purchasing additional accessories. There is not much difference between the Kids Complete Skateboard and the Adult Skateboard in general, but the Kids Complete Skateboard is shorter in length to reduce the weight of the complete skateboard itself as much as possible, making it easier to move the skateboard when doing some tricks. The Kids Complete Skateboard is easy to use, safe, and reliable, and is very suitable for beginners and children. It not only allows children to exercise their physical coordination and sense of balance while playing but also cultivates their interests and hobbies and teamwork spirit.

Benefits of Kids Complete Skateboard

01/

High-quality Materials
The use of high-quality PU wheels and wear-resistant sandpaper increases the service life of the skateboard while ensuring comfort in use.

02/

Anti-slip Design
The sandpaper on the board has a fine formula, which not only ensures sufficient friction but also reduces wear on fingers and shoes.

03/

Improved Safety
The size, weight, and material of this skateboard have been specially considered to suit the weight, height, and strength of children, thus reducing the safety risks during use. By increasing the wheel groove position, the wheel jam phenomenon can be minimized and the stability and safety of sliding can be improved.

04/

Ease Of Use And Flexibility
The shorter wheelbase and appropriate board length allow children to naturally step on the screw position, making it easier to control the center of gravity, and the turning radius is also reduced accordingly, which is convenient for flexible control of the skateboard. The weight of the whole board is controlled at a low level, which is convenient for children to carry and play for a long time.

Types of Kids Complete Skateboard

The Classic Skateboard

While they have a traditional shape, you'll notice they also feature a nose and tail-an upward bent tip-for jumping and flipping. The curved shape of the deck makes the board more responsive to tricks.A standard skateboard-also known as a street skateboard-is a great choice for beginners or skaters who want a versatile board that they can ride in a variety of ways. Standard boards have a "popsicle" shape, meaning the nose and tail are similar shapes. Standard skateboards are usually ridden with harder wheels, ranging from a durometer rating, or hardness rating, of 98A-101A.

The Longboard or Downhill Longboard

Longboards have their origins in 1950s Hawaii, when local surfers decided to try and mimic the surfing experience on land. Longboards, like the name suggests, tend to be longer than the typical skateboard and come in a variety of shapes. The large, soft wheels can handle many terrains, including rough roads and uneven grounds.Cruising longboards are designed for enjoying a mellow ride, and long-distance longboards (or push longboards) ride lower to the ground to make them easier to push for long distances. Due to the larger size of longboards, they're not as responsive or easy to maneuver, but they can reach high speeds, especially on downhills, and maintain momentum easily.

Cruisers and Carver Skateboards

Cruisers, sometimes referred to as carver skateboards, come in various shapes and sizes, but they're typically lighter than longboards and taller than the classic skateboard. They're made for a relaxed cruising experience, offering soft wheels to handle rougher terrains like asphalt and city streets.Cruisers have an angled nose and tail for easier maneuverability. Although not limited to any type of terrain, they're adept at acceleration and provide great balance for day-to-day riding. They are nimble and easy to maneuver around obstacles that cross your path while riding from point A to point B.

Special Shape Skateboards

Special shape skateboards have contemporary hybrid shapes that mix influences from old-school and cruiser boards. They win major points for their suitability for both cruising and tricks. So if you're looking for something that can do a bit of both, special shape skateboards are a solid choice. They're also a good alternative for street skateboarding and transition skateboarding for advanced skateboarders.

Kids Complete Skateboard Components

Deck
The Skateboard Deck itself can vary in size depending on your age and skill level. The needs of your board can mean you may prefer a wider deck for stability and balance, or a slimmer board for more efficient tricking. The ends of your board are called the nose and tail for the front and back respectively. The nose of the board will be slightly bigger and the tail slightly smaller. Every board features 4 bolt holes, or mounting holes, where the bolts feed through and attach to the trucks. When gripping the board it's important to make sure the bolt holes are pushed through and the edge of the grip is sorn clean.

Trucks
Trucks are made up of a baseplate, a kingpin, bushings, and hangers. The truck is used to turn and grind the board. Depending on how loose your setup is, it will allow you to turn more or less. The size of your deck will directly affect what size trucks you need for your board. If your trucks are too narrow for your board you'll find it difficult to balance and function the board, and equally if the trucks are too wide this could cause issues when navigating the board. Adjusting your setup and trucks is super important to the use and upkeep of your Skateboard. Your bushings (also known as cushions) can also have an effect on the turn of your board.

Wheels
When talking about Skateboard Wheels, it's best to start with explaining the wheel durometer. The Durometer refers to wheel hardness. The higher the durometer, the harder the wheel. Most standard Skateboard Wheels are around 95a and under 55mm. These are small hard wheels that have become the park setup default over the years, but some do prefer harder and softer wheels for different purposes. The benefit of a super hard wheel is that you'll gain more speed as well as less chance of flat spotting. Softer wheels are generally easier to control the speed of with being slower generally, but the real advantage of a larger, softer wheel is that they're better for more uneven terrain and surfaces.

Bolts
Skateboard truck bolts are pretty straight forward. For standard setups it's just gonna be a 1" bolt. If you have especially large trucks on your board like longboard trucks you may need larger bolts. In cases like these, or when you add a riser or shock pad to your build it can be more beneficial to use a 1 ¼ " or 1 ½ " bolt. If your bolts are too long this could cause issues when building and if your bolt is too short you won't be able to securely fix the nut and the truck will not be safely attached to the deck. To attach the bolts all you have to do is poke holes in the grip tape and slot the bolts in the correct positions. When building, if you have two silver or alternative coloured bolts, these are to indicate the nose at the top of the board, and the all black/regular colour bolts can be used on the tail.

Grip Tape
Griptape is also relatively self explanatory. The grip on the board is a sticky sheet of sandpaper you attach to your board and it will help you to jump in the air and do tricks. This is helpful when flipping the board as there's some resistance on it making it easier to trick with. Sometimes when your board arrives or when you've freshly applied your griptape this can have bubbles in - this is perfectly normal and will often come out with use.

Bearings
As far as bearings go, the main thing to make a note of is the ABEC rating. The higher the abec rating, the stronger the bearing is. If you're a beginner, it's unlikely you'll need anything crazy in terms of bearings but the best quality bearings will always start you off on the right foot. An Abec 5 bearing will run smoothly and get you from A to B but an Abec 9 bearing would be able to cope with more intensive use, for example being able to cope with landing tricks or skating ramps. Keeping your bearings clean and away from water is paramount for the longevity of your bearings. Bearing cleaners can be purchased but not necessary, and we always recommend keeping some speed cream handy if you are looking to take to the slopes.

How to Choose Kids Complete Skateboard

Riding style and terrain

The style of skateboarding that you'll be doing and the type of terrain you'll be on can affect the size of the board you choose. For example, if you plan to do a lot of street skating, you may want a smaller board, while if you are cruising or carving, a larger board may be more appropriate.

Shoe size

Manufacturers may recommend the deck width of the skateboard according to the shoe size. If your shoe size is 6.5 to 9, then the deck should be 7.5 inches to 8.0 inches. If your shoe size is 9.5 or larger, it may be recommended to get the deck between 8.0 inches to 8.5 inches.

Body Height And Weight

Your height and weight can also affect the size of the board you choose. Taller and heavier riders may prefer larger boards, while shorter and lighter riders may prefer smaller boards.

Skill level

If you're a beginner, it's best to start with a smaller and lighter board, which can make it easier for you to control and perform tricks.

Process of Kids Complete Skateboard

Raw Materials
The primary material in skateboard decks is wood, typically maple, and glue. However, some skateboards are made with composites, aluminum, nylon, Plexiglas, fiberglass, foam, and other artificial materials. Skateboard trucks are usually made of aluminum or other metals such as steel or brass. In contrast, skateboard wheels are made of polyurethane, a synthetic rubber polymer. Skateboard components are sold separately, allowing consumers to choose the parts that best suit their needs.

Design
Skateboard decks, trucks, and wheels are designed to cater to various skateboarding styles. Manufacturers design their boards with their signature styling and use templates to impose their design on the board's shape. Each company that manufactures decks and wheels makes its products stand out through its art designs. Some artwork is created on computers, while others are done by hand.

Assemble the Skateboard
After procuring or fabricating the three distinct constituents, the manufacturer or consumer is obliged to assemble them. The deck requires grip tape to provide traction. Grip tape is obtainable in a vast rectangular sheet larger than the deck. It must be smoothed out by hand to eliminate any air bubbles. The board's edge beneath the grip tape is outlined using a file or any flat-edged tool.

Quality Control
If the components are acquired individually, the consumer must adhere to all instructions for their safety. All screws must be securely fastened to maintain the truck's position during tricks. Manufacturers constantly inspect the finished boards to ensure they are stable and satisfy safety criteria.

How to Maintain Kids Complete Skateboard

1. Clean your skateboard regularly with a mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaners as these can damage the deck or wheels.

2. Inspect your skateboard regularly for any cracks, breaks, or other damage. If you notice any damage, stop using the board immediately and get it repaired or replaced.

3. Keep your skateboard stored in a cool, dry place when not in use.Avoid storing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources as this can cause the deck to warp.

4. When transporting your skateboard, always use a proper carrying case or bag. Do not just throw it in the trunk of your car or on the floor of your closet.

5. If you are going to be riding in wet conditions, make sure to protect your skateboard with a waterproof sealant. This will help prevent water damage and keep your board looking like new.

FAQ

Q: Is an 8.0 a good size for a skateboard?

A: An 8.0 skateboard can be a good size depending on the rider's preference and intended use. Skaters who are into doing technical tricks may benefit from an 8.0 or lower skateboard deck size for maneuverability, while a slightly bigger deck at 8.25 inches could be ideal for skate parks, ramps, and rails.

Q: What size of trucks and wheels are recommended for an 8-inch deck?

A: If you wish to do tricks, select some hard wheels (99a-101a) with a diameter ranging from 52 to 56 mm. If you want a smooth ride and tricks aren't important to you, go with soft cruiser wheels of any size. It's important to pick trucks that are the same width as your deck.

Q: How do I measure skateboard size without a sizing chart?

A: One way to measure skateboard size is by standing on the board with both feet and checking if the width is appropriate for your shoe size. Another way is to hold the board in front of you and see if it reaches your waist. This method can help determine the right length for your body type.

Q: What size should kids first skateboard be?

A: 6.5 to 7.5 inches
The ideal size deck will be large enough to progress to more advanced techniques, without exceeding their ability too soo

Q: Is it cheaper to build or buy a complete skateboard?

A: You may be wondering, "Is it better to buy a complete skateboard or build one from scratch?" The short answer: It's usually cheaper to buy a complete. However, there are pros and cons to both custom-built skateboards and completes. You'll want to consider more than just the price of each option.

Q: Is there a difference between a kid and adult skateboard?

A: The main differences between adult and child skateboards are deck width and length. Children's boards are lighter, smaller and adapted to shorter legs and lighter body weights, allowing kids to control the board with greater ease. Adult boards are longer, heavier, and wider to support larger statures.

Q: What happens when your skateboard is too big?

A: If you choose a deck that's too wide for you, chances are you'll need to exert more energy in controlling your board, which, in turn, makes pulling off tricks – and just skating in general – more difficult. The American Academy of Pediatricians advises that children 5 and under should not ride a skateboard at all. Their balance and judgment haven't developed, and they're at a higher risk for injury. Children between the ages of 6 and 10 shouldn't ride a skateboard without adult supervision.

Q: How early can you teach a kid to skate?

A: 3 years old
Although there is no fixed age to start skating, skating experts recommend that children be at least 3 years old to start skating. From the age of 3, children have already developed basic motor skills that allow them to move with greater ease and balance.

Q: Which is better, a wood or plastic skateboard?

A: Performance. While plastic decks offer several advantages, they generally do not provide the same level of grip and performance as wooden decks. The material's smoother surface can make it more challenging to execute advanced tricks that require a high level of board control.

Q: Is a smaller skateboard better for beginners?

A: For Kids under 8 we recommend a smaller board that will better fit smaller feet, however a slightly wider board, such as an 8" would be fine as well. For everyone over 8, there are a lot of options. Wider boards are easier to balance and learn on but will be harder for flip tricks like the kick flip.

Q: What should I know before getting a skateboard?

A: Softer wheels roll faster on rough ground and offer better stability making them a good choice for most beginners. Hard wheels are faster on smooth surfaces and are usually the best option if you are spending lots of time at the skatepark. Hard wheels also make it easier to slide in and out of certain tricks.

Q: How much should a good quality skateboard cost?

A: A good complete will typically range between $100 and $200 depending on type (street or cruise) and brand. Your can find cheaper if you go to Walmart or the like, but those are basically toy boards and won't do you or your child any justice. Go to a shop or order online if you don't have a local shop.

Q: Do complete skateboards come with griptape?

A: A complete skateboard is simply a board that has already been assembled. It will have all the elements assembled together: wheels, a deck, trucks and grip tape.He obviously had to take it a bit slower and can't go wild at skateparks anymore but he still can ride just fine! If you enjoy skating then keep skating! Skateboarding has no age cap, just a physical one haha.

Q: What percentage of kids skateboard?

A: 30% of all skateboarders are 18 or older. 70% of 9,000,000 is 6,300,000. Of the 74,101,945 youth, 6,300,000 are skateboarders. Therefore 8.5% of American youth are skateboarders.7.5" to 8" wide is a medium size which is ideal for kids and teenagers through to adults learning to skate and mastering technical tricks. The thought behind this is that the less board you have under your feet the easier it is to flip and manipulate. Your deck will be lighter and flip faster.

Q: What is the biggest injury on a skateboard?

A: The impact was so violent that Brown's shoes flew off of his feet and landed several feet away. Brown's injuries included a fractured wrist, fractured vertebrae, bruised liver, bruised lung, ruptured spleen and concussion. After several minutes of unconsciousness, Brown walked off the ramp surface with assistance.

Q: What size board is best for street skating?

A: 7.50" to 8.00": Medium deck width for teen or adult riders skating street terrain or doing more technical tricks. 8.00" to 8.50": Ideal for various street and transition terrain. Parks, pools, rails, stairs. 8.50" and up: Wider decks great for transition skating, bigger street tricks, pools, or just cruising.

Q: How many inches should a beginner skateboard be?

A: (Micro) 6.5" to 6.75": Best for kids 5 and under. (Mini/Small) 7.00" to 7.50": Narrow decks are better for youths 8 to 12 years old. (Mid Size) 7.50" to 8.00": A medium deck width is best for teens age 13 and older or adult riders who street skate or skate on street terrain.

Q: What is the benefit of a shorter skateboard?

A: The shorter the wheelbase, the more maneuverable and easy to steer your board. A shorter wheelbase makes your deck more agile, a longer one makes it smoother and more stable.

Q: How do you know if your skateboard is the right size?

A: When choosing a board, consider your shoe size and how it correlates with the width of the deck. If you wear men's size 6.5 to 9, start out with a deck width of 7.5 to 8.0 inches. If you wear shoes 9.5 or larger, we recommend getting a deck between 8.0 and 8.5 inches.

Q: What age is too late to learn how do you skate?

A: Contrary to popular belief, it's never too late to learn how to ice skate. Whether you are in your 20s or 60s, you can still take to the ice and learn how to glide, twirl, and spin like a pro. One of the biggest misconceptions about ice skating is that it is only for young children or professional athletes.
